Alastair Gordon Scott is an Expressionist born in Australia’s outback who lives by the famous Ammersee lake outside Munich, Germany. Trained by Japan’s Ki Nimori-sensei, he paints life-size erotic nudes and panoramic desert landscapes, as well as some botanicals and abstracts. Big, brilliantly colourful expressionistic renderings, ranging from shocking pink to electric blue, others use browns or shades of flesh tones with yellow highlights. Varying degrees of light and shading are used to enhance the movement and intense experience, frequently departing from realism to tweak or play with features. Balance, or imbalance, generates movement, curves, colours, focus, energy.
